Lee, Wendy & Storm … Married

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” — Albert Schweitzer

I photographed this amazing family a few years back via my work for Heartfelt. They were blessed with beautiful twin girls – Storm & Summer. Sadly, Summer passed away, however Storm is thriving. These special little girls are so very dear to me.

So it was an honour when they asked me to document their wedding day (they eloped just before Christmas!). When I arrived on the day, Wendy was getting ready at the Treasury Casino in Brisbane, and Lee and Storm were out getting some food. When Lee arrived back at the hotel with Storm, I heard Wendy say to her ‘she’s over in the corner’. Storm found me, and came over for the best hug ever. I hadn’t seen her since she was a tiny babe in a humidicrib, but she knew who I was from having photographed her in those early days. We then had a lot of fun getting ready (and some champagne!), and then it was off to Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens for their ceremony (where we got rained on!!). Being a part of their day was just so extra special and one I’m glad I got to photograph. :)

Blessed. Both them and you. The photos are beautiful, fun, honest and loving. Not only are they blessed to have such an amazing photographer ( I can say this :P) but you are blessed as you seem to just attract amazing people into your life. I can’t imagine the pain they have been through, but my heart goes out to them. <3
Very proud Sis. Xo
