Rose + Andrew … Married

When we were away in Vanuatu I photographed two weddings and one surprise volcano proposal. These weren’t booked before we flew to Vanuatu … coincidence or not, these all came out about via some strange but funny circumstances. (:

The first wedding I photographed was on the day we were flying home to Brisbane. The lovely Lita from Erakor Island Resort organises all of the weddings on site, and she asked me the day before if I could help this couple out and provide some photography for them. Of course I was happy to, and with just an hour to spare before we flew home too (phew!). (: I also happened to meet Tracie Wolter who works with the bride and groom in QLD before they fly to Vanuatu. Lita and Tracey then liase together when they meet in Vanuatu to make sure the day runs smoothly.

Rose and Andrew had chosen to get married right next to the resort at 11am. It was lovely (and bright!!) and also very warm. There were just the two of them with a few onlookers and some of the resort staff as witnesses. I also have to mention the Piano Cultural guys who played some fab music too! I love that these images are so relaxed and and colourful. It was fantastic witnessing such a pretty and laid back wedding. (: (P.S. Rose has since given birth to a beautiful baby girl!). Check out their pics below …

Oh Leanne I have major goosebumps! You’re a beautiful soul, these couples are so lucky! Love everything about this union, the simple colorful flowers and the celebratory coconut drinks sitting waiting. Oh and what a backdrop!
